Seed is please to be able to promote a new project to raise awareness about LGBTQIA+ people’s experiences of eating disorders. Kaleidoscope Health and Care have just released a zine showcasing the unheard stories of LGBTQIA+ people with eating disorders, and are sharing it with healthcare, eating disorder support and LGBTQIA+ organisations. It’s called Gulp: a zine telling the stories of lgbtqia+ people with eating disorders.
You can find it online now
They will be holding an online event to launch Gulp and promote the need for more (and better) support for LGBTQIA+ people with eating disorders/body issues on 15 July 5:30-6:30pm. It’ll be both an informative and interactive event generating space for conversations between people with lived experiences and health and social care professionals. Attendees can interact with the event as little or as much as they want, and can keep their camera off and use a fake name if that’d make them feel more comfortable.
